Wild food season

We went on a photo safari the other day for the book I'm writing, the guide to edible and medicinal wild plants for pilgrims.  Within a relatively short walk we found all these:

Who can tell me what these all are?  Go on have a go.  You can click on the photos to enlarge them.

For a bonus point, what is this one?

I haven't identified it myself yet.  The flowers are actually yellow.  Looks like it should be medicinal.

Finally on a separate excursion we visited some friends in the mountains and came away with tons of chestnuts (the woods around us have been badly affected by the chestnut gall wasp), crab apples and one lovely porcini mushroom:

Beautiful! I think I spy mint, fennel, wild strawberry, nasturtium(?) and dandelion(?). And are those acorns on those oaky-looking leaves? I'd love to know what the others are.

I don't know them all but here's my try: Common Plantain, Wild Ginger, Ribwort Plantain, Melissa Balm, Dandelion, ?, Oak/Acorn, Sorrel, Wild Strawberry, Mint, Nettles, Walnut?, ?, Clover, Dill, Butcher's Broom (berries are toxic btw), ?

Jann, you've spotted 5.

Tanya, that's an impresive 11 out of 16!

I'll post the solution in a couple of days giving a few more people a chance. It's not so easy just looking at the picture without the context of where you found it and not being able to smell it.

Yay :) I'm interested in the rest as well so will pop by this post in a few days as well. It's always good to know your wild foods!

It's a 3-way tie! 11 right for Ruth too. I'm sorry to hear about your woes and good luck in the new venture. I shall keep an eye out for you.
